Utilizing a collection of personal photographs I had previously captured, I embarked on a creative exploration to reimagine these scenes through the lens of artificial intelligence using Gemini. My primary objective for this project was to envision a hauntingly beautiful world in a state of advanced decay—a post-human landscape characterized by the total absence of people and the slow reclamation of structures by nature. This project served as a fascinating experiment to see how far I could push my own photography by integrating AI into my workflow. What was most remarkable was the efficiency of the process; a transformation that would traditionally have required weeks of meticulous manual editing and digital painting was condensed into a mere hour or two.

After the initial AI adjustments were complete, I transitioned the images to my phone to perform final edits using Adobe Lightroom. This stage allowed me to fine-tune the atmospheric mood and artistic style, ensuring the final results truly reflected the specific aesthetic I wanted to convey.

I have found a profound sense of satisfaction in this new “craft”—the sequential process of capturing a raw moment through a camera, collaborating with AI to expand the narrative of the image, and finally polishing the work through traditional editing to achieve a specific emotional resonance.
